Set up your EOT Employee Trustee election
This tool helps your team choose their employee representative (trustee) on the EOT board. It’s free to use, easy to set up and straightforward to take part in.
But before you run the vote, you’ll need to find employees willing to stand as candidates! To help people work out whether they want to take on the role, you’ll need to give your team a clear sense of what the role involves, what responsibilities it carries and how it fits into the EOT structure.
An employee trustee represents the interest of the workforce in an EOT. They will play a formal governance role, helping ensure the trust acts for the long-term interest of the employees. We’ve created more information on Trustees in an EOT and a general Trustee role description.
How it works
To set up the election, enter the key details, including closing date for voting, and the candidates’ names.
Once created, you’ll get two unique links, one to share with your team that they can use to cast their vote, the other gives you access to the results and election management. Both links will also be sent via email.
Candidate names are shown in a random order for each voter to reduce unconscious bias and keep the process fair.
